Stef’s Kurzgeschichten
“Chiquitta” hat den Anfang gemacht. Zur besseren Übersicht (und hoffentlich auch zum wiederlesen) hat sie eine eigene Kategorie bekommen. “Chiquitta” habe ich 1994 für den Englischunterricht geschrieben. Ich war damals auf der Country Day School in King, Ontario und Mrs. Wry ließ als Semesterarbeit Kurzgeschichten schreiben. Ursprünglich wollte ich sie ins Deutsche übersetzen, musste aber einsehen, dass dadurch zuviel verloren geht.
In Kürze folgt eine weitere Kurzgeschichte: “Philemon and Baucis”. Geschrieben im Jahr 2000 für den General Language Course (Anglistik studiert) von Mr. Jacob-Flynn an der LMU München. Mit folgender Aufgabe: Ein Foto aussuchen, eine fiktive Geschichte dazu schreiben, das Foto in einem fest verschlossenen Umschlag mit der Geschichte abgeben. Mr. Jacob-Flynn wollte erst die Geschichte lesen und danach das Bild in seinem Kopf mit dem Foto vergleichen.
Ich bin gespannt auf Eure Kopfbilder. Ich werde das Foto erst mit dem letzten Teil veröffentlichen.

Her stern started moving because of the increased volume of water flowing down the Urubamba. As a result water started to flow into the boat through some of the broken boards. Chiquitta – Teil 3
To watch the pack of crocodiles that had followed him for over two weeks was probably the most exciting experience ever. After the first week he even gave them names. His favorite crocodile was the leader ‘Darth’. Patrick liked him the best because he sort of reminded him of himself. He always had been the leader and had to decide what to do and when to do it. And after a while Patrick started to have conversations with ‘Darth’. Of course ‘Darth’ wasn’t really part of this conversation, but nevertheless Patrick discussed all kinds of topics with him. Chiquitta – Teil 2
Even before his parents had a chance to tell all their friends how proud they were of him, he took off. He had packed all his stuff the night before, and the flight was already booked a week ago. While his parents were out for a dinner party, (he said that he did not feel well and stayed home), he took his brand-new car, that he got for his graduation and headed towards Heathrow. During the 15 hour flight he felt so relaxed and free with nobody to tell him what to do. He even ordered a glass of whisky. …weiterlesen…
